TCU will have starting quarterback Casey Pachall available for its matchup this weekend against Texas, head coach Gary Patterson announced.
TCU QB Casey Pachall cleared to play against Texas
The Horned Frogs’ offense receives a big boost ahead of an important matchup.

Pachall broke his left arm in the Horned Frogs' win over Southeastern Louisiana, and was expected to be out for eight weeks. This return is a bit early, and is huge for the Horned Frog offense against a struggling Longhorn defense.
In Pachall's absence, Trevone Boykin quarterbacked TCU, and threw for five touchdowns against seven interceptions while the team went 2-3, including 1-3 in Big 12 play. Things have not gone well for him.
Considered by many to be a strong conference contender at the start of the year, the Horned Frogs have a lot of work ahead of them if they intend to compete for the Big 12 crown. With Pachall back, that may be just a bit easier.
