Vanderbilt is showing some signs of life after getting blasted early by Texas A&M, and this 30 yard touchdown pass from Patton Robinette to Jonathan Krause has them back within shouting distance at 28-17. This was no average touchdown pass, however. Observe!

Based on the trajectory of this pass, it’s not immediately apparent if it was actually a punt. If A&M’s defense wasn’t porous and prone to getting out of position, this ball would have been a sitting duck. Lucky for the Dores, though, Krause was the only one within range of this mortar strike.
Between plays like this and the two consecutive onside kicks in the second quarter, Vanderbilt is playing like they have nothing to lose. I mean, besides the game, sure, but you know what I mean.
