Texas wide receiver Mike Davis has been reprimanded, not suspended, after a cheap shot on Iowa State defender Deon Broomfield in the Longhorns' 31-30 win over the Cyclones Thursday.

The Texas wide receiver will miss not time after a targeted low blow against the Cyclones, unless Texas decides to suspend him.

Davis was not ejected from the game, but a 15-yard penalty was assessed. Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads was not happy with the officiating, and went off on the Big 12 officials after the game.
The wide receiver is one of Texas's most important players. Davis is second on the Longhorns in receptions (26) and receiving yards (287), trailing Jaxon Shipley by just one in both categories, and leads the team in touchdown catches (four).
