Trailing 17-3 in the third quarter, Tennessee's offense had struggled all day against a stout Georgia D. While the Volunteers had some success on the ground, quarterback Justin Worley had trouble consistently finding open receivers, completing just eight of 18 pass attempts for under 100 yards.
Marquez North scores incredible touchdown for Tennessee
A touchdown grab you have to see to believe.
That changed quickly, as Worley found Marquez North in the corner of the end zone for an incredible touchdown grab that brought the Vols to within a score.
It was North’s first touchdown reception of his Tennessee career. The true freshman entered the game with a team-high 14 catches for 132 yards. He was a highly touted prospect coming into Tennessee, rated as a four-star prospect with offers from nearly every major program in the country.
The Bulldogs are now without both Keith Marshall and Michael Bennett -- key offensive weapons that they will not have when trying to hold off a revitalized Vols’ attack.
