Arkansas vs. Florida 2013 final score: Murphy throws 3 TDs as Gators cruise, 30-10

Tyler Murphy and Florida had no trouble with Arkansas after the first quarter, winning 30-10 on Saturday night.

Florida took some time to get warmed up, but once they did they cruised to an easy victory over Arkansas, 30-10, on Saturday night.

The Arkansas Razorbacks were thinking upset early during Saturday night's game against the Florida Gators. A blocked field goal led to a 64-yard touchdown drive to put Arkansas up 7-0 late in the first quarter. Unfortunately for the Hogs, their lead wouldn't last long.

Two drives later, Loucheiz Purifoy turned momentum in favor of the Gators for good, stepping in front of a Brandon Allen pass to the flat and taking it 42 yards for a touchdown that would give Florida a 10-7 lead after they scored a field goal on their previous drive.

The Gators scored 24 straight points before the Razorbacks could make another dent on the scoreboard with a field goal late in the third quarter. The Gators capped scoring with a Tyler Murphy 9-yard touchdown pass to Valdez Showers. Murphy threw three touchdown passes on the night.

For the game, Arkansas managed just 275 total yards of offense. The Razorbacks had modest success on the ground, with Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams combining for 21 carries, 86 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Allen struggled mightily at quarterback, however, going 17-for-42 passing for 164 yards and a pick-six.

Box Score Hero: Tyler Murphy and Solomon Patton were the stars of the game for Florida. Murphy went 16-for-22 passing for 240 yards and three touchdowns. Patton caught six passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns.

Rankings Ramifications: Whether Florida moves up or not may depend on the result of the Washington-Stanford game later Saturday night. The Gators are ranked No. 18 in the AP poll and No. 19 in the Coaches poll. Washington is No. 15 and No. 18 in the respective polls, and may drop below Florida with a loss.

But Did They Cover? Florida was favored by 12.5 points, so they covered handily.
