Both running back Keith Marshall and wide receiver Justin Scott-Wesley will miss the remainder of the season with torn ACLs, Georgia head coach Mark Richt announced Sunday. Those losses represent significant setbacks to the Georgia offense -- Marshall is second on the team in rushing yardage, while Scott-Wesley is second in receiving yardage. It was just a disastrous day on the injury front for the Bulldogs.

Making matters worse, the team also endured a knee injury to Michael Bennett, who is third on the team in receiving yardage. Bennett will have his knee scoped to find out the extent of the injury, Richt said. That will prevent him from playing against Missouri next week.
Marshall’s injury occurred in the first quarter when he was hit low while attempting to catch a pass in the flats. Here is the play in question:
Marshall has 246 yards rushing on the year and one score. The Bulldogs already were without Todd Gurley because of an ankle injury, and if Gurley is forced to miss additional time, UGA's ground attack becomes all the more uncertain. The team's third-leading rusher is freshman J.J. Green, who has 194 yards so far.

Scott-Wesley’s injury came later on and wasn’t due to any contact; his knee appeared to buckle as he was running to cover a Georgia punt. He has 311 receiving yards on 16 receptions, giving him the highest per-catch average of any UGA receiver with double-digit receptions.
