Stanford vs. USC to host ESPN College GameDay, Week 12

The Trojans host both the Cardinal and College GameDay in a big Week 12 matchup.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

College GameDay will head to the West Coast this week, as the college football preview show will be in Los Angeles for USC Trojans' game against the Stanford Cardinal.

The show's tenth visit to USC makes the Trojans one of the most common hosts ever for the show. They trail just Ohio State (13), Florida (12) and Michigan (11) for the most all-time College GameDay appearances.

The Trojans have been one of the more successful teams in College GameDay history as well, sporting a 15-7 all-time record on the show despite losing their last four appearances. USC is 6-3 all-time when hosting the program, but have lost their last three such outings.

Stanford has appeared on the show just seven times, with a 4-3 record. They are 2-2 on the road in College GameDay games.

After losing their first two games in Pac-12 play and firing Lane Kiffin, USC has seen a turnaround this season, defeating Arizona, Utah, Oregon State and California. The Trojans are in third place in the Pac-12 South, just one game behind first place Arizona State.

Stanford is a national title contender, and stands at top of the pack of one-loss teams. The Cardinal sport five wins over ranked opponents, including a huge victory over former No. 3 Oregon last week. Their only loss came in a stunner to Utah.
