Washington vs. UCLA final score: Myles Jack’s four touchdowns lead Bruins to 41-31 win

UCLA remained in the Pac-12 South picture with a big win on Friday night.

Harry How

The UCLA Bruins continued to roll on Friday night as they knocked off the Washington Huskies, 41-31. The win improves the Bruins to 8-2 this season and 5-2 in conference play.

Behind linebacker-turned-running-back Myles Jack, UCLA stormed out to an early 27-7 lead and never looked back. Jack rushed into the end zone from eight yards out on the opening drive of the game, and then Brett Hundley connected with Cassius Marsh from two yards out to take a 14-0 lead. UW's Bishop Sankey responded with a touchdown run to cut the deficit in half, but two more Jack touchdown runs gave the Bruins their 20-point edge.

Washington cut the deficit to, 27-24, early in the third quarter, but back-to-back UCLA touchdown drives just about put things out of reach.

The big story in this one was Keith Price leaving the game at halftime with a shoulder injury. It's unclear how Price got hurt, though he was unable to give it a go after warming up prior to the third quarter. Freshman QB Cyler Miles replaced Price.

Box Score Hero:

Myles Jack: 12 carries, 59 yards, 4 TD

Brett Hundley: 13/22, 159 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

Cyler Miles: 15/22, 148 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT

Bishop Sankey: 27 carries, 91 yards, 1 TD

Rankings Ramifications: The win should keep the Bruins right near the top of the BCS top-10. What this really does, though, is keep UCLA right on Arizona State’s tracks in the Pac-12 South. With the Sun Devils set to visit next weekend, Jim Mora’s boys will likely have a chance to tie ASU at the top of the standings with a win.

But Did They Cover? UCLA came in as three-point favorites. They covered the spread.
