Georgia suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Auburn on Saturday, when Nick Marshall's 73-yard ridiculous Hail Mary on fourth-and-18 negated a 20-point comeback orchestrated by Aaron Murray and the Bulldog offense.
Mark Richt on defensive coordinator: ‘We win together, lose together’
The head coach defends his troubled defensive unit.

It’s not the first time the Bulldogs’ defense has gotten them into trouble, and head coach Mark Richt refused to call out defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and the unit when asked about it by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“Here’s what I say: I say we’re a team here at Georgia and we’re going to keep coaching and keep trying to make improvements and corrections in everything we do and in all phases of the game,” Richt said.
Asked the same question in a different way, Richt stuck to his script: “The bottom line is at Georgia we’re a team and we win together and lose together.”
Grantham’s defensive unit has come under fire from Georgia fans, rushing in the bottom half of the conference in passing defense, total defense and scoring defense (giving up 30.2 points per game). The Bulldogs gave up 20 points in a win over Florida, but they have not given up less than 30 points in any other conference game.
