Kansas vs. Texas final score: Longhorns coast to 35-13 win

The Longhorns took care of business on Saturday, beating Kansas at home to remain undefeated in Big 12 play.

Stacy Revere

The Texas Longhorns took care of business on Saturday, beating the Kansas Jayhawks, 35-13, at home courtesy of four rushing touchdowns from Malcolm Brown.

The game started slowly, but the Longhorns appeared to get things under control in the second quarter by way of two rushing touchdowns from Brown. The Jayhawks were able to pull three points back with a field goal right before halftime, though, and notched another field goal immediately on the other side of half to make it 14-6.

That would be as close as they would get. Chris Whaley scored his second touchdown of the season off a Jake Heaps fumble, and Brown would rush for another two touchdowns. You should probably see this, and take special note of Jackson Jeffcoat's textbook backflip:

Kansas would eventually add a touchdown with less than four minutes left, but the game was well in hand long before that point.

Box Score Hero:

Brown did all the heavy lifting for the Horns, scoring four touchdowns and racking up 119 yards on 20 carries.

Rankings Ramifications:

Neither team was ranked before this game, but Texas may sneak back into the BCS standings with the win.

But Did They Cover?

Texas was a 27 point favorite at kickoff, so they did not cover the spread.
