Eric Ebron leaving UNC early for 2014 NFL Draft
The Tar Heels’ leading receiver is expected to be a first round draft pick.

"I'm proud of what's he's accomplished & how's he's represented UNC. We're sad to see him go but excited for his future."
— Carolina Football (@TarHeelFootball) November 25, 2013 Ebron has been the Tar Heels’ leading receiver this season and has helped the team go on a red-hot second half run. He has 50 receptions for 774 yards and three touchdowns this year -- with those first two numbers trailing just Texas Tech’s Jace Amaro among tight ends across the nation.
Late last month, Mocking the Draft highlighted Ebron as a player whose stock was rising and have slated him to go in the first round of the upcoming draft -- to the Jets, with the 22nd pick.
After starting the season 1-5, North Carolina has won five games in a row and looks to spoil rival Duke’s division title hopes this upcoming Saturday in the season finale.
