Kansas head coach Charlie Weis is expected to hire Rice offensive coordinator John Reagan as a co-coordinator with the Jayhawks, via Matt Tait of KUSports.
Charlie Weis to reportedly hire Rice’s John Reagan as Kansas offensive coordinator
The Owls’ offense is averaging nearly double the scoring output as the Jayhawks this season.

Reagan would also be the school’s offensive line coach, with current coach Tim Grunhard resigning, according to the report. He would share the offensive coordinator position with Weis, who has struggled in his time with Kansas, posting a 4-19 record over two years.
Before his time with Rice, Reagan spent five years at Kansas as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator, and helped Jon Cornish set a school season rushing record in 2006.
Rice’s offense ranks 77th in the nation in F/+, while Kansas’ ranks 119th. The Owls are averaging 31.8 points per game, third in Conference-USA, and 431.1 yards per game (also third in the conference). Kansas’ offense is averaging 15.8 points per game, last in the Big 12, and 301.2 yards per game, also last.
