Alabama will be the third national title contender to receive a big test in Week 11 when the Crimson Tide host the LSU Tigers Saturday in the regular-season matchup we’ve all been waiting for.
LSU vs. Alabama betting trends: Tide favored in big SEC showdown
Alabama and LSU will likely leave one team left standing in the national title hunt, and the nation will be watching Saturday night.

The line opened with Alabama as a 9.5-point favorite, and has since grown to -12.5 in favor of Nick Saban’s death squad. The over/under began at 54.5 and has remained roughly the same (it’s 55 at some books).
On the road against the Tide since 1997, LSU is a remarkable 6-2 straight-up and has a 5-1-2 record against-the-spread. This is a bit of a different situation, however. The Tigers have not been double-digit underdogs on the road since playing Florida in 2000, a game they lost, 41-7.
In the last 17 games between the two schools, LSU holds a 10-7 advantage straight-up and an 8-7-2 advantage against the spread. In games between Nick Saban’s Alabama and Les Miles’ LSU, the Tide have a 4-3 advantage straight-up, and the two teams are tied 3-3-1 against-the spread.
