Week 11 college football final scores: FSU breezes, Florida falls in early slate

As the college football world still reeled from Thursday’s big games, No. 2 Florida State put in work on poor Wake Forest.

Here are the results of the early games here in Week 11; as more games go final they’ll be added to the list. You can also check out the scoreboard for live results here, and click for full recaps where available.

Ranked Games

No. 2 Florida State 59, Wake Forest 3 | Full Recap

Florida State celebrated its suddenly clear path to the BCS National Championship by beating the living daylights out of Wake Forest. At one point in the second half, FSU had twice as many interceptions as Wake Forest had completions, and the FSU defense scored on two consecutive plays from scrimmage in the victory. Famous Jameis Winston had a quiet day, but it’s hard to make noise when your defense is making all the big plays for itself.

No. 5 Stanford 26, No. 3 Oregon 20 (Thurs.) | Full Recap

The game of the week—at least until further notice, but it'll probably hold up through the night—saw Stanford shut the Duck offense down for nearly the entire game, then hold on for dear life down the stretch. With that, Oregon's title dreams are effectively dead, and Stanford can wonder what might have been. Tyler Gaffney was unstoppable in the win, logging 45 (!) carries for 157 yards, a touchdown and 14 total first downs.

No. 6 Baylor 41, No. 10 Oklahoma 12 (Thurs.) | Full Recap

Baylor also announced its intentions to challenge for the BCS National Championship by laying waste to visiting Oklahoma on Thursday night. Oklahoma couldn't move the ball with any sort of competency, and Baylor shook off a slow start and injuries, including one to star tailback Lache Seastrunk, to pull away from the visiting Sooners.

No. 8 Missouri 48, Kentucky 17 | Full Recap

Mizzou WR Dorial Green-Beckham was the star of the show in this one, grabbing four touchdowns, including this ridiculous score. The Tigers move to 9-1 (5-1) on the season and still control their destiny for a SEC Championship berth.

No. 9 Auburn 55, Tennessee 23 | Full Recap

Auburn weathered a feisty effort from Tennessee in the first half and pulled away for the big win. QB Nick Marshall shredded Tennessee’s defense for 214 yards rushing, and RB Tre Mason registered his second straight season with over 1,000 yards rushing in the win.

No. 20 Louisville 31, Connecticut 10 (Fri.) | Full Recap

Louisville coasted to an easy win over the bumbling Huskies, blocking a punt for a score and taking a pick to the house as well. The Cardinal offense stalled out a little too often, and over 100 yards in penalties didn’t help, but UConn didn’t even belong on the same field.

Kansas State 49, No. 25 Texas Tech 26 | Full Recap

Kansas State demolished Texas Tech in front of a stunned crowd in Lubbock as the Wildcats dominated on the ground (291 yards, five TDs) and in the turnover game (three takeaways, zero giveaways). TTU has now lost three straight with Baylor up next.

Other scores

Vanderbilt 34, Florida 17 | Full Recap

Will Muschamp’s seat is suddenly boiling-lava hot after Florida got throttled at home by mediocre Vanderbilt. Florida’s woes stemmed from four turnovers (and none taken away), and without any playmakers on offense, that’s just no way to win in the SEC.

Minnesota 24, Penn State 10 | Full Recap

The Golden Gophers' breakout season continues with yet another legitimate win, this time coming against a solid visiting Penn State team. Philip Nelson led the Gophers with 186 yards passing and two total touchdowns, and the 8-2 Gophers are a good candidate to crack the Top 25 this week.
