The Nebraska Cornhuskers held off the Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor on Saturday, 17-13, paced by two touchdowns from Ameer Abdullah.

The Huskers and Wolverines didn’t provide much fireworks, but Nebraska will head back home with a win.
Nebraska opened the scoring in the first quarter, and looked pretty good doing so. Pat Smith stroked a short field goal to give them a 3-0 lead, and Ameer Abdullah scored the first touchdown of the game a few minutes later. The Huskers looked like they were well in command of the game, but that things stalled at that point for their offense, still playing without Taylor Martinez. Michigan was able to get on the board with a field goal in the second quarter, but that was it for the first half.
Things flipped in the second half. Michigan's defense found its footing a bit, and a Devin Gardner touchdown pass to Devin Funchess tied things up midway through the third quarter. It wasn't until eight minutes remained in the game until the Wolverines finally took the lead on a 40 yard Brandon Gibbons field goal. It wouldn't last, though, as the Huskers capped off a 14 play, 75 yard drive with a five yard touchdown pass from Tommy Armstrong Jr. to Abdullah with two minutes remaining.
Michigan had one last shot, but they turned the ball over on downs.
The Wolverines ended another game with negative rushing yardage, this time -20. Even with Gardner's sack yardage taken out of the equation, Derrick Green led the team with 11 yards on eight carries.
Nebraska stays one game behind Michigan State in the Big Ten Legends Division with the win, and will host the Spartans next weekend in Lincoln in a massive game that should decide the division title.

Abduallah scored two touchdowns to power the Husker offense, and also rushed for 100 yards to boot.
Rankings Ramifications:
Neither team was ranked in the latest BCS standings, but the winner has a good chance to sneak back in.
But Did They Cover?
Michigan was a 6.5 point favorite at kickoff, so they did not cover the spread.
