West Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett suffered a possible head injury after a huge hit from Texas defensive tackle Desmond Jackson during the first quarter of the Mountaineers’ game with the Longhorns. The hit forced Trickett to fumble the football and left the junior quarterback laying on the turf.

Trickett slowly got back to his feet and stumbled to the sideline, but looked dazed.

Backup quarterback Paul Millard entered the game for the Mountaineers' next offensive series.
Trickett, who transferred to West Virginia from Florida State this offseason, has started six games for the Mountaineers this season, completing 52 percent of his pass attempts and throwing for 1,218 yards and five touchdowns.
