Bowling Green's BooBoo Gates took back the opening kickoff of the second half for a 94-yard touchdown, but that was only half the action on the play. During Gates' return, Bowling Green linebacker D.J. Lynch took things to the next level, swinging away at Pitt's Manasseh Garner, who was already on the ground.

The 94-yard kick return touchdown was only the opening act on this play. Somehow both players were penalized, and somehow nobody was ejected.
Despite what the image above shows, there were offsetting penalties on the play, and surprisingly, no ejections for either player. It was not immediately clear what the Pitt player may have done to provoke the attack, if anything.
Bowling Green would tie the game at 17 after the touchdown, and go ahead several minutes later on a 46-yard field goal from Tyler Tate.
