Pac-12 Championship 2013 odds and trends: Cardinal and Sun Devils set for close game

Trends predict the game easily hits the over in a contest between two teams on winning streaks.

Arizona State and Stanford square off Saturday in one of the weekend's better conference title matchups, with the Sun Devils' offensive attack meeting head-to-head with the Cardinal's defensive strength. Make sure to head to OddsShark for all your betting needs.

The line opened with Arizona State as a 3-point favorite, and that has not swayed as we approach closer to Saturday. The over/under is set at 56 points, and that too has remain unchanged.

The first two Pac-12 title games hit the over, and with Arizona State's free-wheeling Mike Norvell offense, that could very easily happen again. The Sun Devils will be without star running back Marion Grice, but quarterback Taylor Kelly is one of the better weapons in the conference.

In the Sun Devils’ last 20 games, the point total his hit the over 14 times. However, they’re coming up against a hot Stanford team that has covered the spread eight of their past nine games and will look to keep the point total down. The Cardinal have won 15 of their last 17 Pac-12 games.

Arizona State has won eight straight Pac-12 games (covering the spread in six of them) -- their only conference loss this year? To Stanford.
