Duke has had a history of covering the spread as the underdog this year, however.

The line opened with Florida State as 27.5-point favorites, and it has since moved in the Seminoles’ favor. The line is now minus-29, with the over/under holding steady at 62 points.
In seven of the last eight ACC title games, the winner has also covered the spread -- that would spell a blowout defeat for Duke (or a victory for the Blue Devils).
The Seminoles are one of three undefeated teams left, winning all twelve of their games this season, and have done so in blowout fashion -- they’ve covered the spread ten times. You know who else has covered the spread 10 times this season? Duke, who have also done so in their last five games as an underdog.
Florida State has covered the spread in five of their past six conference games, while the Blue Devils have covered seven straight within the ACC. In their past five games as twenty-point or more favorites, the Seminoles have covered each and every time.
