Washington tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins reportedly hit the windshield of his car after an accident he had while allegedly driving drunk, as the Seattle Times found in the police report of the Saturday night incident.

The nation’s top returning tight end is lucky to be healthy after an alleged DUI incident where he apparently smashed into the window of his car in a single-vehicle accident.

In just two years at Washington, Seferian-Jenkins already holds school records for receptions and receiving yardage by a tight end. He led the country in yards per game by a tight end last year.
The rising junior’s car was found in a catch basin, having left the road and driven over the sidewalk and a small tree at a “high speed,” per a witness. He had a bloody nose and his windshield had a “star-shaped fracture” on the driver’s side -- indicating that the 6’6 player likely flew face-first into it. Luckily, it doesn’t appear he suffered any more serious injuries, as he was released from a hospital after initially refusing medical assistance. The report goes on to detail how Seferian-Jenkins twice refused blood tests before a warrant was granted.
Seferian-Jenkins’ name wasn’t in the police report, but Sunday, Steve Sarkisian indicated the school knew the tight end had gotten into an incident.
