TCU unveiled their new Horned Frog statue in front of Amon G. Carter Stadium on Saturday with an Instagram photo asking people to describe the statue in one word. The statue depicts the thorny creature prowling with its belly scraping across a big slab of rock. It does not appear to be amused.

TCU’s new horned frog statue in front of Amon G. Carter Stadium will intimidate you, or at least keep you from trespassing on its lawn.

One word? Stoic, proud, maybe even a bit intimidating. Okay, maybe that’s three words. But just read them one at a time. In another light, however, those horns could be wisps of an old-man beard, making the horned frog look more like a grumpy and confused geriatric. I don’t know, what do you think Mr. Eastwood?
For those curious, the statue stands approximately eight feet tall, so it should be pretty imposing in person. Hopefully the statue brings the Horned Frogs better luck in season two in the Big 12 Conference.
