A future Penn State Nittany Lion has run into trouble before ever stepping on campus in Happy Valley. Matt Miller of Penn Live reported that Zayd Issah of Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg (Pa.) has been charged with multiple crimes in the city of Susquehanna Township, including trying to pass counterfeit money at a local McDonald’s.The counterfeit money by Issah and two other individuals was utilized to buy fast food for the three suspects.

Issah has been charged with two felony counts of forgery and conspiracy to forgery, and also several misdemeanor charges of theft. A preliminary hearing is planned for May 9. Issah is currently working with the police in the investigation. Because he is a first-time offender, Issah will probably avoid jail time for his misconduct.

Issah was considered a top linebacker in the 2013 recruiting class and one of the best overall prospects in the state of Pennsylvania. Dan Vecellio has more on the story at Black Shoe Diaries.
