If you don’t have anything else going on on April 13, why not head down to Louisville to take in some spring football? I know spring football is not the most exciting thing in the world, but A) It’s football (kind of), and B) it will be accompanied by $1 beers, according to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy.
Louisville to sell $1 beers at spring game
People tend to like football and beer, and Louisville is taking the calculated gamble that people will like football and beer together at their spring game.

Budweiser and Bud Light are the only beers that can be purchased at $1, so don’t show up expecting anything that will delight the palate in extraordinary ways, but it’s beer, and it’s football in presumable sunshine, so who cares? Considering that ice-cold refreshment at a football game usually costs anywhere north of $7 during normal circumstances, fans may not be in a position to be terribly picky.
Charlie Strong and the Cardinals played in front of roughly 15,000 fans at their 2012 spring game, and I would expect that number to be significantly higher in 2013. Heck, I live roughly 600 miles away from Louisville, and I’m thinking about going!*
*I’m not**
