The Ohio State Buckeyes are making the best of a season that didn’t end with a national championship shot. The Buckeyes will give every player on last year’s football team a ring memorializing their accomplishment of being the lone undefeated team of the 2012 college football season.

The Ohio State Buckeyes went undefeated but unrewarded. So the program has given their players championship rings commemorating their accomplishments.

The deeds of the 2012 Buckeyes are memorialized in the "Woody." Going unbeaten became memorialized personally today. twitter.com/BuckeyeNotes/s…

This isn’t the first Ohio State commemoration of their undefeated season. The Buckeyes have already put up a championship banner that currently hangs from the Woody Hayes center.
Unfortunately, they don’t really have anything to show for it other than their own personalized hardware. Ohio State was ineligible for all postseason competition and was thus unable to play for a national championship they surely would have made if they had the ability to do so.
But hey, a ring for each of the players is pretty nice.
