George Farmer’s USC career hasn’t been able to hit full stride due to a series of injuries, and the receiver once considered to be the best in the nation is once again hurt after an injury in practice Tuesday:
USC’s George Farmer injured once again in spring ball
Former elite prospect George Farmer was finally healthy for spring ball after injuries have hampered his career thus far, but that might be in jeopardy as he injured his knee in practice Tuesday.

No word on the exact nature of the injury, but when you hear the phrase “carted off”, it typically isn’t good.
A 5-star recruit ranked as the top receiver in the country out of high school by Rivals - and the No. 3 player at any position - has just five receptions for 49 yards in two seasons for the Trojans. Some of it is the difficulty of climbing the depth chart - after all, Robert Woods and Marqise Lee were both All-Americans and Lee won the Biletnikoff Award this past year - but for a player hyped as highly as Farmer was, one might have thought he’d be able to get some touches. But he’s dealt with nagging injuries - his hamstring and ankles - and just Monday, an ESPN post wrote how nice it was to finally see the stud prospect healthy.
Farmer isn’t the first stud USC receiver prospect to struggle - Kyle Prater, also the No. 1 receiver and No. 3 player overall in his class per Rivals - only had one catch in two years at USC before transferring to Northwestern. With Woods leaving though, Farmer was expected to have an increased role in the offense.
