Clint Trickett could visit Auburn and Michigan after FSU exit

The former FSU quarterback is currently scheduled for visits to West Virginia and South Florida, but he may expand his search for a new team to Auburn and Michigan.

Former Florida State quarterback Clint Trickett could also take visits to Michigan and Auburn, his father told the Tampa Bay Times. Trickett is visiting West Virginia this weekend and will visit South Florida soon.

The most likely destination for Trickett at this point is probably South Florida. He would be able to stay in Florida, and he was recruited by head coach Willie Taggart when Taggart was an assistant at Stanford. He would also have a good chance of landing the starting quarterback job. He also has a connection with Auburn, whose new co-offensive coordinator, Dameyune Craig, was the quarterbacks coach at Florida State from 2010-2012.

Trickett appeared in nine games for the Seminoles in 2012, throwing a combined 22-34 for 272 yards in those games. He will graduate from Florida State this spring and will enroll as a graduate student at his new school, meaning he will be able to play without sitting out a year.
