With each passing day, we’re closer to the 2013 college football season. So close, we’re starting to get betting lines for some of Week 1’s opening games!

Tuesday, we learned the lines for seven of Week 1’s early lines from 5dimes, and five more trickled out Wednesday, including four games featuring matchups between BCS schools.

Penn State is the five-point favorite against Syracuse in a matchup of two teams looking to replace starting quarterbacks. The Nittany Lions will have an open competition between junior college transfer Tyler Ferguson and highly-touted freshman Christian Hackenberg, while the Orange are replacing both now-Giants quarterback Ryan Nassib and now-Bills coach Doug Marrone.

The SEC season starts off with James Franklin’s Vanderbilt trying to move on from arguably the most successful season in school history, winning nine games and a bowl. They’re the favorites by nearly a touchdown at home against Hugh Freeze’s Ole Miss.

Oklahoma State was third in the nation in points scored in 2012, and Mississippi State, well, wasn’t, leading to the Cowboys being 11.5-point favorites over the Bulldogs, who saw a pair of cornerbacks drafted early in Darius Slay and Johnthan Banks.
