Help name the rivalry game between Albany and Stony Brook

Both Albany and Stony Brook will play their first seasons in the CAA in 2013, and the schools are turning to the public to help name their new rivalry game. Feedback can be sent to Stony Brook’s facebook page, or by using the hashtag #EmpireClash on Twitter.

Personally, I think the name Empire Clash is probably what they’re going to end up with, but this is a chance to really let your creativity shine. The teams are named the Great Danes and the Seawolves, so perhaps something canine-related would work. After a name is chosen, the two schools will collaborate to make a trophy, and regardless of what it’s called, it will probably be better than this.

After some reflection, I think the best name for this trophy is “Two SUNY Schools That Are Just Mad They’re Not Geneseo WOOOO GO KNIGHTS.”
