The Georgia Bulldogs may begin the 2013 season without starting strong safety Josh Harvey-Clemons, as the sophomore faces suspension after admitted marijuana use, according to Chip Towers of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Josh Harvey-Clemons and teammate Ty Flournoy-Smith were involved in an incident on May 15, in which the players admitted they “smoked a blunt.”

On May 15, police were reportedly called to a dorm room on campus where an odor of marijuana was detected. Inside, Harvey-Clemons and tight end Ty Flournoy-Smith admitted they had "smoked a blunt," but officers were unable to find marijuana in the room, although the pair were said to have "exhibited signs of marijuana ingestion."
Although the players were advised that there wasn’t enough physical evidence to warrant criminal prosecution, the incident was reported to the school and football coaches.
Harvey-Clemons played in all 14 games as a freshman in 2012, mostly on special teams, and earned a spot in the starting lineup during spring football. Flournoy-Smith was arrested in February and will transfer to a junior college, the team confirmed last week.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to kickoff the 2013 season with a road game against the Clemson Tigers.
