The SEC released its revenue sharing information on Friday, and the conference split a record total of $289.4 million between the conference’s 14 members, according to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy. That total breaks down to $20.7 million per school, a number that will significantly increase once the SEC Network hits the airwaves in 2014.

The Big 12 also released its revenue sharing numbers on Friday, and member schools actually made about $1 million more than their SEC counterparts from revenue sharing. The conference brought in almost $100 million less as a whole, but divided it between 10 schools instead of 14.
In addition to revenue sharing numbers, the SEC announced they will stick with their current eight-game conference schedule for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. The schedule will remain in the 6-1-1 format, with six divisional games, a permanent crossover game, and a rotating crossover game. There was some discussion of the conference moving to a nine-game schedule, but that’s on hold for the moment.
