Louisiana Tech will wear a patriotic American flag helmet for their game against Army in the Heart of Dallas Classic (which is apparently a thing now) on Sept. 28. The program tweeted a picture of the helmet on Thursday, revealing their standard red helmet, but the logo featured a red-and-white-striped outline of the state of Louisiana and a blue “T” with white stars laid over top. Lookin’ good, Bulldogs.
Louisiana Tech getting patriotic helmets for Army game
Why yes, Skip Holtz and the Bulldogs do love America. Just look at their helmets!

The American flag inside a logo football helmet idea is not new. The Bulldogs will be joining the likes of Iowa, Rutgers, Louisville, North Carolina, and others to sport patriotically-slanted logos on their helmets. So the next time you hear someone question the patriotism of Skip Holtz or the Louisiana Tech football program, just point to those helmets and refute that nonsense.
