Western Kentucky unveils new football uniforms

The Hilltoppers are going with a more modern look.

USA TODAY Sports

Western Kentucky showed off new football uniforms at an unveiling ceremony Thursday evening. The Hilltoppers will be sporting a modern look, outfitted by Russell Athletic.

In recent years, Western Kentucky wore traditional-looking uniforms, which featured the always-classy UCLA shoulder stripes. But with new head coach Bobby Petrino running the show, the ‘Toppers ditched the old-school look for something a little less subtle. It’s not the first time Petrino has radically modified a team’s football uniforms. When he was at Arkansas, the Razorbacks went from this to this.

While the new uniform set might not be all that impressive, the crowd that witnessed the unveiling certainly was.
