UCLA associate athletic director Michael Sondheimer has resigned after allegations of inappropriate conduct with minors, according to the Los Angeles Times. Sondheimer was placed on administrative leave on June 3 and resigned on June 27.

Former associate athletic director Michael Sondheimer resigned amid allegations of inappropriate conduct with minors online.

Sondheimer allegedly attempted to engage in sexual chats with minors on the internet and was caught by investigators who were posing as children online. Sondheimer had been with UCLA in varying capacities for 36 years and graduated from the institution in 1977.
"Sondheimer was placed on administrative leave June 3, immediately after the university learned of allegations that he had engaged in inappropriate conduct. The allegations were unrelated to his job at UCLA and did not involve students or any other employees."
As the Associate Athletic Director, Sondheimer was “involved in all aspects of the academic and admissions process for prospective student-athletes,” according to his university bio. An investigation is still underway and, as Fox Sports notes, Sondheimer’s attorney had no comment at this time.
