Brunetti was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Former Rebels running back/wide receiver Randall Mackey was also involved in the incident. Mackey allegedly shoved a police officer and was charged with simple assault. Officers entered Brunetti's apartment following an auto accident and, after noticing the smell of marijuana, discovered a grinder in the quarterback's room. He admitted to having recently smoked marijuana and was placed under arrest.
In a brief statement to the Commercial Appeal, Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said, “We addressed this incident internally.”
Brunetti, a senior, served as backup to Bo Wallace in 2012 and is expected to do the same this year. Last season, he completed 22-of-32 passes for 196 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed 60 times for 277 yards and three scores.
