ESPN’s ‘College Football Live’ to broadcast from SEC Media Days

It’s the show’s first trip to the annual media spectacle.

Because there just aren’t enough media members covering SEC Media Days, ESPN’s weekday afternoon show, College Football Live, will broadcast from the event next week.

SEC Media Days is held at the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover, Ala., and will run from July 16-18, and the show will air each day from 3:30-4 p.m. ET. Hosts Joe Tessitore and Dari Nowkhah will be joined by analysts Brock Huard, Tom Luginbill, David Pollack, Matt Stinchcomb and Andre Ware, and the group will discuss all the relevant information coming out of the event. Reporters Cara Capuano, Brett McMurphy and Joe Schad will also contribute to the coverage. Noted commentator Paul Finebaum, who is joining the SEC Network in August 2014, will provide live reports, too.

Over the years, SEC Media Days has evolved from a modest opportunity for journalists to get quotes from players and coaches to one of the biggest -- if not the biggest -- events of the college football offseason. ESPN says more than 1,000 media members and fans will attend the event, and considering the hordes of people that trek out to the Wynfrey each year, that number isn’t an embellishment.
