Williford missed several games last year due to a concussion as well.

LSU Tigers offensive lineman Josh Williford suffered a concussion during Thursday's practice that could put his career in jeopardy, per Jim Kleinpeter of the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Williford was expected to start at left guard in 2013.

Williford was knocked unconscious for roughly five minutes, according to Kleinpeter's report. If he isn't able to return, the Baton Rouge Advocate expects Vadal Alexander to take his spot on the offensive line.

A senior out of Dothan, Ala., Williford stands 6’7 and weighs in at 334 pounds. He started at right guard in 2012, but had transitioned to the left side due to La’el Collins’ move from left guard to left tackle. Williford also suffered a concussion during last year’s game against Florida, forcing him to miss the Tigers’ final seven games of the season.

Williford redshirted his true freshman season in 2009, but played in all 13 games and made four starts in 2010. He played in 12 games and started nine as a sophomore in 2011 and then started all six contests before going down with the concussion last year.
