Texas A&M roared to a 20-0 lead over Alabama in the first quarter of last year's game. I'm not saying the Aggies are going to do that again this time around but, based on that opening drive, an offseason spent wondering how Johnny Manziel and Kevin Sumlin would ever overcome Nick Saban having a year's worth of film might have been just a little misguided.
Texas A&M starts hot against Alabama ... again
Maybe, just maybe, we can stop worrying about Johnny Manziel and the Aggies.
As Sumlin himself noted:
Flashback to question Sumlin got at SEC meetings about teams having a year of film on JF. His response: "We got a year of film on them too."

On the first drive, Manziel was 3-for-3 for 68 yards -- plus a scramble for a first down -- including finding Cameron Clear for the one-yard score.
The Tide went three-and-out, suffering a couple false starts while staring up at what’s got to be one of the loudest crowds ever. Are we looking at a repeat of last? I don’t know.
Also, did that kinda-flubbed play that still meant a touchdown against Alabama remind anyone of this?
