South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has been playing through a foot injury and said after the Gamecocks' win over Vanderbilt that he'll have surgery once the season is over.
Jadeveon Clowney injury to mean offseason surgery (but he’ll keep playing)
The star defensive end has been playing through a foot injury and will continue to do so through the rest of 2013.

Clowney says his foot's an issue, and he'll have foot surgery in the offseason. Prospects of epic Clowney combine footage looking grim.

This is apparently not a new development for Clowney, but he’ll have some time to rest his foot before South Carolina gets back on the field:
Clowney says the pain builds as the game goes but he plays through it. He's had foot issues since high school.

Clowney says bye week coming at a good time: "I need it to get my foot back together."

Clowney had four tackles, a sack and a forced fumble against Vanderbilt, so even if his foot was bothering him, it’s tough to tell from appearances. He has two sacks through three games so far in 2013 and has been playing well, even if the preseason hype that surrounded him this year makes it seem like he hasn’t.
