Sunday’s college football scores: Louisville smashes Ohio, Colorado defeats Colorado State
Teddy Bridgewater starts his Heisman candidacy and the Mike MacIntyre era begins at Colorado.

The Cardinals and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater came into the season with a whole lot of hype, and looked prepared to cruise to an AAC title after a thorough drubbing of the visiting Ohio Bobcats. The junior opened the game with two first-quarter touchdown passes to Damian Copeland, and never looked back from there. Bridgewater completed 23 of 28 passes for 355 yards and five touchdowns in a completely dominating performance.
Former Auburn star Michael Dyer made his return to FBS football with the Cardinals, taking his second carry 46 yards for a touchdown. He finished with four rushes for 48 yards on the game.
Louisville outgained the Bobcats 615-273 on the night, and the Cardinal defense held Ohio to 6.2 yards per pass attempt and just 2.9 yards per rush.
Colorado 41, Colorado State 27
Mike MacIntyre came to Colorado after three years as the head coach of San Jose State, taking the Spartans from 1-12 in 2010 to a 10-2 ranked finish in 2012. The once-proud Buffaloes have not had a winning season since 2005, and even their usual domination over the Colorado State Rams in the Rocky Mountain Showdown has slipped in recent years.
After last night, it appears Colorado is back on the right track, soundly beating their rivals on the road. The Buffaloes took an early lead on an 82-yard touchdown pass from Connor Wood to Paul Richardson, and took a 20-10 lead into the half. A resurgent third quarter from the Rams saw two touchdowns as the home team took a 24-23 lead into the fourth.
Colorado responded instantly, with a 52-yard field goal from Will Oliver giving the Buffaloes a 26-24 lead early in the quarter. Four plays into the Rams' following drive, Greg Henderson recovered a Colorado State fumble and returned it 53 yards for the score, breaking the game open.
The Wood-Richardson connection was the highlight of the game, as Colorado’s quarterback went 33/46 for 400 yards and three touchdowns. Richardson caught ten passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns.
