The Fresno State Bulldogs are looking to make a statement against Boise State on Friday night. Through three quarters, the Bulldogs hold a 34-26 lead over the Broncos in front of a capacity crowd at Bulldog Stadium.
Boise State vs. Fresno State score: Bulldogs hold 34-26 lead late
Leading 24-19 at the half, Fresno State came out firing once again. Derek Carr completed 1-yard touchdown pass to Davante Adams to give FSU a 31-19 lead.
Midway through the third quarter, it appeared the Bulldogs had the Broncos stopped deep in their own territory, but a gutsy fake punk call from coach Chris Petersen worked to keep Boise driving. It seemed like the momentum might’ve been turning, but Fresno State promptly came up with another stop and took possession of the ball once again.
On the ensuing drive, Colin McGuire hit a 28-yard field goal to give the Bulldogs a 34-19 lead. Boise State fired right back, though, and after a big kickoff return, Aaron Baltazar ran 35 yards to the end zone untouched to cut the deficit to 34-26.
This game has been wild since the opening kickoff, and it appears we’re in for another wild finish in the Mountain West.
