Things looked shaky for the Georgia Bulldogs all the way into the third quarter, but two touchdowns to finish the third gave them the cushion they needed to beat North Texas 45-21 on Saturday.
North Texas vs. Georgia 2013 final score: Bulldogs pull away for 45-21 win
The Mean Green kept this game close into the second half, but the Bulldogs kept their cool and pulled away late for the victory.

The Dawgs actually jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter behind a Todd Gurley rushing touchdown and a school record 98-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Murray to Reggie Davis. North Texas would not go away easily, however, and the Mean Green would enter halftime down just 21-14.
They would go on to tie the score when Marcus Trice scored on a blocked punt, but they simply didn't have enough gas to hang with the Dawgs for 60 minutes. Aaron Murray rushed for a one yard touchdown to restore Georgia's lead, and then hit Chris Conley from four yards out to double their lead. A Marshall Morgan field goal and J.J. Green rushing touchdown with less than four minutes remaining made it 45-21.
Box Score Hero:
Murray was awesome in this game, going 22-30 for 408 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. He also rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown. Gurley rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown in a quietly-effective performance.
Rankings Ramifications:
Georgia entered the game ranked ninth in the AP poll and 10th in the USA Today poll, and they probably won’t change based on this result. North Texas will remain unranked.
But Did They Cover?
The Dawgs were a 34-point favorite, so they did not cover the spread.
