Arkansas vs. Rutgers 2013 final score: Scarlet Knights rally late to stun Razorbacks, 28-24

Rutgers came storming back behind the arm of Gary Nova. The junior quarterback threw two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to give the Scarlet Knights the lead, and a couple of key stops from the defense prevented Arkansas from getting anywhere close to the end zone late.

Box Score Hero: Nova’s huge second half led to him throwing for 346 yards and three scores, making for one of the better performances of his college career. As a team, Rutgers racked up 400 total yards. Arkansas had just 283.

On the flip side, Arkansas rushed for just 101 yards on 34 carries. That’s only three yards per carry against a defense that has looked vulnerable at times early this season.

Rankings Ramifications: Rutgers didn’t receive any votes in either poll leading up to the game, and while the win is certainly big for the program, it likely isn’t enough to move them into the top-25 anytime soon.

But Did They Cover? The game was essentially a pick ‘em, though some lines did have Rutgers as a one-point favorite prior to kickoff. They covered the spread.
