The Texas Longhorns are once again without starting quarterback David Ash. Ash left Saturday's game against Kansas State and will not return. He's being evaluated for a head injury, according to Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman.
David Ash injury: Texas starting QB out hurt again
A head injury will keep David Ash out of the rest of Saturday’s game.
This isn’t the first head injury for Ash this season. He took a shot to the head against BYU and missed last week’s game against Ole Miss due to a concussion. It’s still unknown if Ash suffered another concussion against KSU. Texas could be keeping him out for precautionary reasons, especially considering his recent history.
Ash completed 14-of-25 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game. The Longhorns led 17-7 at halftime. Case McCoy, who started in place of Ash last week, will take over for Texas.
