Florida State, a 24-point favorite entering Saturday’s road game at Boston College, needed a miraculous Hail Mary to take a lead into the half against the pesky Eagles.
HALFTIME: FSU incinerates BC to end second quarter
Jameis Winston got off to a slow start, but his 56-yard touchdown throw to Rashad Greene put FSU in the end zone for the first time. He later found Chad Abram for a score after a masterful seven-play, 80-yard drive that tied the game up with 1:49 left in the half. FSU got the ball back with less than a minute to play after forcing a three-and-out, at which point Winston's heroics came into play.
The momentum is all Florida State’s at this point as BC goes into the break with three straight punts and 22 total yards on those drives.
If there’s any consolation for BC, it’s that the defensive line has pressured Winston into three sacks and has given the FSU line fits. So, if the Eagle offense can keep it close, this one’s not over.
