For the second straight week, TCU will play a top-five conference opponent. This time, the Horned Frogs travel to Baylor to take on the Bears in Waco.
How to watch TCU vs. Baylor: Game guide, TV schedule, streaming, odds
Can the Horned Frogs take out another Big 12 favorite?

The Horned Frogs raised few eyebrows with their 3-0 start, winning games against Samford (48-14), Minnesota (30-7) and SMU (56-0) in dominating fashion. Faced with one of the national title favorites in Oklahoma, TCU put together a phenomenal game en route to the 37-33 upset, climbing its way up the polls and seeing itself suddenly mentioned as a playoff contender.
TCU isn't the only undefeated playoff contender left in the Big 12 -- Baylor is still here and undefeated, and while the Bears may not quite be reaching last year's levels of destruction, they haven't won a game by less than 21 points this season. They'll be without starting defensive end Jamal Palmer, and a pair of other starters may also miss the game as well.

Two things at stake
A win here would firmly make TCU the Big 12 favorite and put the Horned Frogs in strong position for a playoff spot.
This is one of two huge games for Baylor over the next month; next, the Bears play Oklahoma Nov. 8. Baylor will have to win both to stay in the playoff hunt.
One big matchup
Baylor passing offense vs. TCU passing defense. The Bears have a Heisman candidate at quarterback in Bryce Petty, and the senior has gotten off to a hot start this season with 1,024 passing yards and 12 total touchdowns. Petty has a number of talented playmakers at his disposal, and has particularly been able to take advantage of the matchup problems freshman receiver KD Cannon (24 receptions, 527 yards, five touchdowns) has posed for defenders this season.
The Horned Frogs have a reputation for building their identity on defense, so their ability to stop the pass with consistency should come as little surprise. Opponents have averaged 5.8 yards per passing attempt against TCU this season, throwing seven interceptions against just two passing touchdowns. Oklahoma’s Trevor Knight has been the only quarterback able to put together even a moderately good outing against the Horned Frogs, throwing for 309 yards on 35 attempts with a touchdown and two interceptions. That said, they’ll have a big test in front of them with this explosive Baylor offense.
