How to watch Georgia vs. Missouri: Game guide, TV/streaming, odds

How will the Bulldogs fare without Todd Gurley?

Well this game just got a whole lot more interesting ... and possibly a whole lot better for Mizzou fans. Georgia announced on Thursday that it had suspended star running back Todd Gurley indefinitely for an alleged violation of NCAA rules. Gurley is arguably the best running back in college football and he was SB Nation's favorite to win the Heisman this year, so that's obviously a big hit for a team whose identity this year is the run game.

This was already going to be a big game in the SEC East, and the winner of this won could have the fast track to the SEC East title, though South Carolina will still have something to say about that. However, not having to play Gurley is a big win for a Mizzou team that could really use a win. If the Tigers win, they’ll have beaten both of the SEC East co-favorites — South Carolina and Georgia — and will be the clear favorite to repeat as division champions.

Fore a more in-depth look at how this game might play out sans-Gurley, check out Bill C.‘s preview.

How to watch, listen, and stream

The numbers

Rankings and records: Both teams are 4-1. Georgia is ranked 13th in the AP Poll and 10th in the Coaches Poll, while Missouri is ranked 23rd in the AP Poll and 24th in the Coaches Poll.

Vegas: Georgia opened as a 1.5-point favorite, but the line has moved up to -3. The over/under is 60.

Weather forecast: Partly cloudy with a high of 60 and a low of 48.

Two things at stake

The SEC East could be at stake in this one, but also at stake for Georgia is seeing what it can do without Todd Gurley this year. Can the backup running backs step up?

One big matchup

Georgia offense vs. Missouri defense: This is going to be the matchup everyone will be watching as Georgia tries to find a way to win without Gurley. The Bulldogs will likely be relying on Nick Chubb, who has been good in limited action this season. Fellow backup Sony Michel, a freshman and former five-star recruit, is also out of this game and has been held out since September with an injury. If Chubb can't gain any yards on the ground, then the pressure is going to fall on quarterback Hutson Mason, who has been inconsistent at times this year.
