Chris Callahan hit a 28 yard field goal with four seconds left to give Baylor a mammoth 61-58 win over TCU. The Bears scored 24 straight points in the fourth quarter to come back and beat an extremely good Horned Frog team. This game featured the most points in a game between AP top 10 teams since 1936.
TCU vs. Baylor final score: 3 things we learned from the Bears’ 61-58 win
It required a huge fourth quarter comeback, but Baylor was able to nip TCU at the death to seal the win.

Bomb after bomb, these two teams threw everything they had at each other. Bryce Petty was not the most efficient passer, but threw six touchdown passes and racked up 510 yards in the air. TCU had four rushing touchdowns, and also picked up scores on defense and special teams.
It looked like TCU was a shoe-in for the win, up 58-37 with 11:38 left in the fourth quarter, but no lead is safe against Baylor. Like clockwork, the Bears ripped off 21 straight points in a little over six minutes to tie the game with just under five minutes remaining. The Baylor offensive line that was previously getting whipped by the TCU defensive front completely turned it around and did whatever they wanted to the defense.

Three things we learned
1. The Bears are in the drivers seat for a playoff spot. With Auburn going down against Mississippi State earlier, Baylor should slide up into the top four. If they can win out, they will have a spot in the College Football Playoff. That’s obviously easier said than done, but they have already dodged probably the biggest bullet on their schedule. A Nov. 8th trip to Norman to play Oklahoma looms large, but the Bears have what it takes.
2. What a battle of heavyweights. Baylor and TCU really did leave it all on the field Saturday. They traded haymaker after haymaker for over four hours, and the wreckage was absolutely beautiful. Frog fans will feel pretty low after this loss, but for the neutral, that was quite probably the most entertaining football game of the season.
3. TCU’s season is not lost. They did themselves no favors today, but the Horned Frogs’ season is not over. They are still in the hunt in the Big 12, and considering how many top 10 teams have already gone down this year, there should be ample opportunity for TCU to slide back up the ranks. There is still plenty left on the table to play for.
