Kent Bowles allegedly stole pills from a man whom he tricked with a bogus charity offer.

According to the report, Kent Bowles, 45, serves as a regional representative for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and works at 32 middle school and high school campuses in addition to his work with the OU football team. Per Kemp, Bowles was arrested on complaints of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, larceny, concealment of stolen property and obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check or false pretenses.
He reportedly admitted to police that he took the pills and that he had told the homeowner that the test drive was part of fund-raising event for the FCA, claiming a local General Motors dealership would make a donation to the organization with every 100 test drives.
Oklahoma has had a string of recent incidents, including the arrest of defensive back Steven Parker in June for public intoxication. Running back Joe Mixon is currently suspended for the entire 2014 season after he was charged with one count of "act resulting in gross injury" in August.
The Cincinnati Bearcats had a similar situation earlier in the 2014 season, when the team's make-shift chaplain was arrested on sexual assault charges. Antrione Archer was Cincinnati's director of player welfare and led the team in prayers shortly before his firing.
