There are two teams in the Big 12 with a 3-0 record in conference play: Baylor and ... Oklahoma State. The Cowboys will face their toughest conference test yet on Saturday, travelling to Fort Worth to take on TCU.
How to watch Oklahoma State vs. TCU: Game guide, TV schedule, streaming, odds
Can the Horned Frogs recover from their heartbreaking loss to Baylor?

The Horned Frogs are coming off a heartbreaking defeat to Baylor that saw them surrender a 21-point fourth quarter lead to the No. 5 Bears. TCU’s new offense has worked wonders -- they put up 58 against Baylor and are third in the country in points per game (45.8) -- and the defense, save that game against the explosive Bears, has looked up to its old standard. Gary Patterson’s squad has one marquee win under its belt, against Oklahoma, and could grab another against a streaking Cowboys squad.
Oklahoma State is one of the rare cases where it appears a quarterback controversy might be a good thing: backup Daxx Garman played so well during J.W. Walsh’s injury that there’s talk of him potentially staying in the role when Walsh returns. The Cowboys lost a tight 37-31 game to then-top-ranked Florida State in their opener, and have mostly cruised to multiple-possession victories in their five games since. The problem? None of the teams they’ve beaten are all that good, led probably by Texas Tech, Iowa State and UTSA.

Two things at stake
Oklahoma State is on a five-game winning streak, but this is its first of four opportunities for a marquee conference win. Kansas State, Baylor and Oklahoma remain on the schedule.
TCU can’t afford a second loss if it want to stay in the playoff picture.
One big matchup
Trevone Boykin vs. Oklahoma State defense. The junior is having a fine season running the TCU offense, averaging 7.0 yards per attempt with 14 total touchdowns (11 passing) against two interceptions. He’s a dual-threat quarterback and highly capable of making plays on the ground as well as through the air. His 318-yard, two-touchdown performance was instrumental in the Horned Frogs’ victory over Oklahoma.
Boykin will likely be the biggest test for the Cowboys’ secondary since their opener against Florida State, where they surrendered 370 yards on 40 passing attempts. Another big test was against Texas Tech’s spread attack, and Oklahoma State did something well against both the Red Raiders and Seminoles -- take the ball. In those two games, the Cowboys recorded five interceptions.
