Remember when there were rumors that Missouri might join the Big Ten, and instead the Tigers joined the SEC? Well it looks like Mizzou is going to get a chance to be B1G for a day, as this might be the B1Gest game in SEC history. That’s been confirmed by Missouri’s 34-0 blowout loss to Georgia and Florida’s complete aversion to offense.

Do you like points? If so, you might want to avoid this one.

But this game will still be played, and it has all the makings of a brutal day for offense. While Florida’s defense is a bit more impressive, Missouri has the tools to be an effective team on offense — the Tigers have just struggled in recent weeks, and they’ve fallen off since beating South Carolina, when they looked like true contenders to repeat as SEC East champions.
So watch this game of few points if you wish ... and remember, even the SEC is vulnerable to the Big Ten punting bug.

Two things at stake
Missouri has a hole to dig out of in the SEC East race, but it’s certainly manageable for the Tigers to still win the division. They just can’t lose to Florida.
Is Florida actually going to be better than mediocre this year? Probably not, but to prove it, the Gators need to beat Missouri.
One big matchup
Florida offense vs. Missouri defense: As detailed above, Florida does not have a very good offense. However, there is even more uncertainty this week than normal. Both quarterbacks — Jeff Driskel and Treon Harris — will play against the Tigers, but we have no idea what the rotation will look like. It probably won’t be a full-on two-quarterback system, but it’s clear that Florida has a lot to figure out. That might not be a great thing to figure out during Saturday’s game.
